Primrose at QE Park meets park-side living

Transca Development is proud to welcome new homeowners into our recently completed parkside community, Primrose. Located at 4932 Cambie Street, next to Queen Elizabeth (QE) Park, our residents get to enjoy unparalleled views of Vancouver’s horticultural jewel.

Built to support the lifestyle and wellbeing of all our residents, the open air courtyard with a children’s play area has been greatly utilized by young families. This is also an excellent school catchment area for all levels of education.

“One of the main reasons why I were initially interested in buying this home was for the park and location, it is central of everywhere, which is very convenient for my job.” shares Primrose homeowner Anry Wang. “Plus QE park is just steps away and the future Oakridge mall is within walking distance.”
Primrose combines location, design and environmental sustainability to meet the needs of discerning homeowners. In support of the City of Vancouver’s Green Operations Plan, both Primrose buildings have achieved LEED Platinum, the highest LEED standard for environmentally sustainable buildings. They are a showcase example of sustainability and demonstrate Transca’s leadership and dedication in transforming the building industry. This landmark residence serves as a prominent gateway to the Cambie Corridor. With the location being in the prestigious West Side, homeowners now have easy access to downtown and YVR airport via transit and the Canada Line.

Expansive windows, unique materials, and impeccable details allow residents to live in an architectural dream, created by Transca Development and GBL Architects. Primrose consists of two six-storey buildings and five laneway townhomes, with a combined total of 78 units. What separates both buildings is a long walkway that leads directly into QE Park. A new coffee shop—also within walking distance—is coming soon, making it a likely cornerstone for community in the neighbourhood.

When we were designing Primrose, we opted for a clean and contemporary aesthetic with open layouts and park views from just about anywhere in each home. The large windows allow natural light and gentle breezes to accentuate the comfort of the home. There is also heating and cooling throughout for a comfortable interior environment year-round. For our residents who prefer to stay close to home, Primrose has many comfortable options like rooftop patios, private balconies, and a quiet courtyard to gather with friends and family.

Primrose offers state-of-the-art kitchens by interior designer BYU Design for amateur and experienced cooks alike. The kitchens at Primrose have thoughtful storage and ample space for residents and their loved ones to come together. The pristine stone countertops and backsplash complement the imported Italian Binova cabinetry and European appliances, which include stainless steel gas cooktops, wall ovens, and chimney hood fans. The penthouses and larger size homes are upgraded with luxurious Gaggenau kitchens with steam ovens and under-counter wine fridges. The one-of-a-kind Ansgrohe pot filler has also been a highlight in this well thought-out kitchen design, especially since homeowners get to take in the picturesque park views while cooking.

Based on feedback from actual homeowners, they are thrilled with the amount of detail put into their homes, and we couldn’t be happier to know this.

“Our favourite space in our home is the kitchen,” shares homeowner Joe Luo. “We have adored cooking together, because there’s been enough space for both my wife and me. If I had to pick a favourite appliance, it would be the wine fridge, because it’s so perfectly nestled under the counter for a sleek look and has provided amazing convenience for hosting our guests.”
